“It is so great to have Andrew and Wendy back in Egypt. . . standing with the Church in Egypt, preaching the Gospel to the multitudes. Having a county coming together – five different cities in upper Egypt, united together, 60 pastors with their congregations for such a campaign – it is wonderful.”
Thousands of Egyptians from 60 local churches united with the Luis Palau Association to spread hope through a 4-day outreach, February 6-8. The massive effort reached 15,000 people in person and saw more than 1,500 make a public confession of faith in Jesus Christ.
The campaign, led by the Kasr El-Dobara network of churches and including the help of Andrew and Wendy Palau, featured 10 outreaches to different sectors of society — men, women, and children. The campaign also launched a new effort of long-term strategy to encourage, equip, and bless the local Christian community. It also encouraged vision for ongoing evangelistic outreaches.
Through the 4-day campaign, 15,000 people were reached in person with hundreds of thousands more reached through the live television broadcast via Sat7 Television Network and two other online streaming networks.
It was such a joy to partner with Pastor Sameh Maurice and the Kasr El-Dobara Church. Here is a special thank you on behalf of him and local believers in Egypt:
We will share full video report soon but in the meantime, here are some photos of the wonderful ministry week in Egypt:

Evening Evangelistic Outreach in Cairo
This year’s campaign in Egypt (ministry in both Al Minya and Cairo) marks 22 years since Luis Palau was first invited by Kasr El-Dobara Church to preach in the capital city of Cairo in 1998. That campaign reached thousands of people face-to-face in the heart of the city and shared the Good News nationwide through a groundbreaking new model including hundreds of satellite events.
Ten years later, in 2007, Andrew was invited to return to Egypt, working with the same church network to engage in a new festival model for outreach. The campaign reached thousands and was continued year after year. This year's event similarly had immense impact in Egypt, leading to the continuation of encouragement and blessings for the local churches and further expanding the reach through live satellite broadcasts.
