I’m writing to you as Wendy and I prepare for the last ministry trip of the year. We’re headed to China in a few short days. From the bottom of my heart I want to say THANK YOU for standing with us in prayer for this God-honoring work. 2023 was an unforgettable year, and it wouldn’t have been possible without friends like you.

And the year is still not over! 

I have never felt so blessed to know God’s goodness, even in the midst of often dark and turbulent times. And I’m so thankful for the many friends who are helping to bring the message of the Gospel to millions of people around the world. 

Right now, I’m excited to write and invite you to join us this year and make a special year-end matching challenge gift for evangelism before December 31.

How humbling it is that God has uniquely established this team to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, unite the Church, and impact cities worldwide. 

God has given us a powerful model for long-term impact. We saw Him use it to its full extent this year in Costa Rica, Kenya, Egypt, and right here in the United States. 

So many evangelistic opportunities . . . so many thousands of decisions for Jesus Christ!

Just last month Wendy and I were sharing the Good News in the Middle East – at a festival in Egypt. We have had the privilege of serving at this festival for several years, sharing the Good News with tens of thousands of Egyptian youth. 

While there, a sweet young lady introduced herself to Wendy. Her name was Lydia. She had heard Wendy share the Gospel last year and gave her life to the Lord. One year later, here she was, serving at the festival as a volunteer! This is what she said to Wendy:

“I came to see you… so you would realize I am still walking with Jesus!”

Another great testimony came from Reno, Nevada. A woman named Karla. She came to Christ through our festival there nearly 20 years ago. We only now are hearing her powerful story. Invited by a friend to attend a festival outreach event, Karla gave her life to the Lord and immediately saw a change. 

Today, Karla is married with children, active in her church, and ministering to other women in the community.

This is what we live for . . . changed lives!

Even as we celebrate the great accomplishments from this year, we can’t forget that millions of people are still separated from God. It is the greatest problem facing mankind.  

Without Christ, people are desperately lost!

My heart aches to share this Good News with the world. 

Jesus is our only hope! 

As a friend of this team, I know you care about the lost. You want your life to reflect Christ and to point people to His truth. I want to help you see that vision realized during this Christmas season. Through the Palau Association, you can influence cities and change lives in powerful ways. 

This year, we will have shared Jesus in person on 7 continents!  God used us to reach people face-to-face with the Gospel in:

• Nairobi, Kenya (October)

• Baghdad, Iraq (September)

• Cairo, Egypt (October)

• Montevideo, Uruguay (November)

In just a few days, we’ll add China to that list!

You’ll be happy to know we continue to see a tremendous response to the Gospel online as well. Technology now makes it possible for us to proclaim the Good News 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in nearly every nation – with a special emphasis on the hardest to reach places in the world!

So far this year . . . more than 2 million people have indicated a decision for Jesus Christ!

Please don’t underestimate your role in this Kingdom work. When you give to this ministry . . . you are forever changing lives for the Kingdom (2 Corinthians 9:12)!

It’s so easy to let evangelism slide . . . to push it to the side . . . to be afraid or embarrassed of sharing the Gospel. 

I’ve seen it too often.  

May it not be so!  This is the best news the world has ever heard.  And it’s our job as believers to share it with everyone! 

Let’s stand strong together and end the year with clear purpose!
